Deep Red and Metallic Blue PS3 controllers to hit Japan sometime in October, which is nothing amazing unless you are really dislike the current controller colors.

The significant part of this piece of news is that the PS3 Slim is actually rumored for release around this same period!

So in the near future PS3s would be as colorful as their line of PSPs with red & blue joining the already released black, silver and white PS3s.

Interesting tidbit: Customers LOVE the black PS3. Must be the glossy sheen..
