There are 2 types of visitors at E3. The media and the industry affiliates. Sadly, we registered as industry affiliates as we are clearly more about selling rather than blogging.
That was a huge mistake.
Media people get access to more areas in E3 and can skip queues to test demos
To my surprise, most people with media passes have only a compact camera on them. We should have gone in with a media pass. With my photographer friend and his huge s camera, we could have easily passed off as an awesome game blog in the arena.
But if we compare, we are like flies to the real media companies.

The babe belongs to G4TV. The soldier belongs to some other game news site which I totally forgot the name
So the soldier from the unknown game blog was walking about taking photos and (failing) to promote their site. The booth babe got all excited by unknown soldier as it passed their booth and started to interact with it. Of course the cameras went crazy. The solider handed the babe their T-shirt and asked if she would wear it. G4TV’s brand manager stopped her. Haha.
So yeah. That is the story behind this shot. But I digress.
This is G4TV and they stream live from E3. Here is what their setup looks like…

That is a studio right there at E3. Here is IGN’s

And Gametrailer’s

And Gamespot’s

Gamespot also brought their office into the exhibition.. over 20 writers in that space…

The various studios there just blow my mind. The capital outlay and the user base required for such setups are totally insane. Does Singapore even have a chance to host such massively huge events?
It was definitely a humbling experience at E3
