As we move forward towards the end half of the year and before the frenzied shopping season starts, a new preorder system would come be effective from September 2010.
In recent months we have seen an increased number of individuals who put their name down for a game preorder and only not to show up once the game releases. Most often due to poor review scores.
Therefore, in order to limit the nature of such orders, we have decided to put in place a new system of preordering.
In simple table form:

Old system
Drop us an email/order out a preorder title.
Choose to pay a deposit.
Once game is out, customers who have paid a deposit will have their title held for 72 hours. Otherwise it would be 24 hours before it is released (next working day).
New System
Drop us an email/order out a preorder title.
Choose to pay a deposit.
This is what’s new.
Deposit is now raised to $5. If you do pay a deposit, we will hold the title for you for 1 week and would strongly recommend our mailing options in which the game title would be sent out on the same day.
Customers who choose not to pay the deposit no longer get a confirmed copy on release day. You would be put on a notification list. You may still grab a copy at preorder prices though. Quantity for this segment of preorder would be on a first come first serve basis.

Old system: 24hrs game copy confirmed for non deposits, 72hrs game copy confirmed.
New system: Non deposits will get a notification that game is ready for collection, copy not confirmed.
Confirm your copy of the game before coming down for pickup. We will not be liable for any miscommunications.
Customers who pay a deposit will be guaranteed a copy.

If I am a member, do I need to pay a deposit?
Nope! Members do not need to pay any deposits for preorder titles.
When will this system come into effect?

will those ppl who have pre order but nt paid a deposit for a game be affected by the new system if they preorder b4 september?
Yes they will for all titles after September!
Meaning games like Fifa 11 and Call of Duty, Medal of Honor fall under this category!
I support the new system. Its allows ppl who preorder and paid deposit longer time to collect. Some ppl like me don’t like to wait for things in the mail box. Acts as dis-incentive for ppl who anyhow pre-order. I pre-ordered and didnt collect once before and felt quite bad. Now at least if i change my mind even though i paid deposit Qisahn will still get a little compensation for their trouble.
