Greatest hits never fail to arouse our interest because it signifies a price drop for good games. On 16 June, 6 games will attain greatest hit status in US. The recommended retail price will be around SG$44 in US, hopefully at the same price after they land in Singapore! Let’s rate the offers!
Army of Two
Retail price: Out of stock as there is no reprints
Used price on forums: avg $25
Verdict: Nah. Resident Evil is a more popular co-op game and there are many shooters around. Plus a used copy is way too cheap.
Battlefield: Bad Company
Retail price: Out of stock as there is no reprints

Verdict: Nope again. This game was really cool online. Probably the best FPS online after Call of Duty 4 and before Killzone 2. However, their online servers are now dead and Battlefield single player mode is pretty weak compared to many other titles.
Devil May Cry 4
Retail: Was $44, UK imports
Used price on forums: avg $35
Verdict: Yes. Devil May Cry is a good franchise. The only reason why imports stopped is due to shortage in UK. US imports should prove more popular at the same price.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
Retail: $59.99, Asia PSN store

Verdict: This is really interesting. A demo game as greatest hits. We thought the full version is supposed to be released this year? This game will probably be imported but in limited quantities.
Metal Gear Solid 4
Retail: $44, UK imports (Platinum Edition)

Verdict: This is an evergreen game. A must buy for every PS3 owner to remind XBOX users they are on the wrong side of the console war. This will replace UK imports with US imports as Singaporeans prefer US imports.
Ratchet n Clank Future
Retail: $25, Singapore Best Hits
Used price on forums: avg $15
Verdict: Nope. We already have super cheap Ratchet n Clank in Singapore. There is no need for a price hike.
Looks like this batch of greatest hits will not be particularly exciting… There wouldn’t be a price drop afterall. We should all blame it on the importers who have already crashed local prices with imports from Europe.

For the uninitated, Monster Hunter is one of the most replayed game on PSP. It is highly addictive once you are into the game.
The only problem people have with this game is the late release for English version. It was released in Japan on 23 March 2008 and was subsequently attributed to a national decline in productivity. It will be released in Europe on 26 June 2009, America 23 June 2009. Stay tuned~
For those not wanting to upgrade their PSPs in order to try the demo, get the 2 parts from the following links. Unzip the folder and files into your memory stick’s PSP > GAME folder
