Instead, you would have to stick with the game disc release only.
I quote from the very people who are, in general, involved with Wiis in Singapore:
“Capcom doesn’t have rights for Tri Bundle in Asia”
We will most definitely be bringing in the controller bundle but it would not be on release date itself.
It is rather odd that Asia does not get it. I guess what the rep really meant was South East Asia.
One theory is that probably there could be many Capcom distributors in Singapore but in order to please all of them, Capcom decides not to release the bundle else that would lead to slanted sales.
Or, the controller itself is the issue. Licensing perhaps?
Wii prices are now cheaper than our most expensive PSP, but there hasn’t been a better title to attract the portable crowd to sink in their roots for some console play until Monster Hunter 3.
This would be by far the biggest title that the Wii would see this year. And what’s even better is that all the online subscription fees that can be found on the Japanese version of the game would be waived. I smell a rat.
Could there possibly be microtransactions involved once the game is released? Gamestop is offering a free 500 Wii points card for every Monster Hunter 3 preorder so let us not rule out that possibility.
I’ll have to say, to a certain extent, the screenshots actually look pretty good. But it’s not the pretty graphics we are interested in right?
From my experience, Red Steel 2 felt fantastic when I last tried it at the Tokyo Game Show, and this is one title that uses the improved sensitivity of the Motion+ really well.
If you liked how the sword fighting game (best one among the 12!) was in Wii Sports Resort this is a must-buy title. Gun-slinging, sword fighting action – what’s there not to love!?
Honestly speaking, there haven’t been really enough games to make full use of the Motion+. The only reason why everyone gets one is because Nintendo made it mandatory for each player to play Wii Sports Resort. And it is funny that no one complains that they are fleeced into getting additional sets.
On a brighter note, the game would be bundled together with a Motion+ as well, watch out for it come March 23rd.
And the future it seems appears to be a console capable of HD.
While the possibility of the current Wii taking on next gen graphics is close to none as Nintendo would prefer to invest it’s resources into the development of a new console instead.
Considering the competition all capable of outputting in HD, the Wii is the backward child of this generation’s video game consoles. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata believes that the right course of action would be investment into a brand new console, in a statement to investors.
All being said, I would strongly advise taking this piece of news with great skepticism.
Nintendo, as usual, moves to deny such rumours but it waits to be seen if such a console does appear.
When? Game Developers Conference 2010 – March 9th. Watch out for it.
One of the most common scary stories that new Wii owners often retell is the final bill that is calculated after choosing their items.
A good half, or close to that, of the bill is largely made up of accessories.
“But the Wii only starts at $319! How did it end up with $6XX?!” Many a customer cry foul of Nintendo’s nefarious business model!
A good thing is that Nyko has come up with their Wand+ which is essentially a Wiimote with a built in Motion+, expected retail price? USD$40. Till reviews are out I’ll start by saying its cheap and save the “good” for later.
