Playstation Vita is officially launched in Singapore today 22/2/12. For the fun of it, let’s review the available swags in the market.
Water Pouch Available if you preordered Vita through Sony store
The awesome tagline says “The Thirst of Online Gaming”. However, I don’t think I’ll ever use it. It holds too little water and the plastic quality looks questionable.
Post-it Pad Available if you preordered Vita through Sony store
Probably the biggest post it pad I have ever seen. Nice and useful.
T-Shirt Available if you purchased Vita through Sony store *limited stocks*
The best of the lot, the design is nice and shiny. Everyone loves shiny stuff
PS Vita now available at all Sony stores at SGD399.. or if you don’t need the swag, check our PS Vita Console prices
The Media Development Authority (MDA) governs and decides which games are suitable for sale in Singapore. Recently, our customer support has been swamped with queries on when the latest “Twisted Metal” on the PS3 will be approved. The truth be told, we don’t know.
And I doubt anyone else knows, except for those within MDA. The censorship board is an independent body, I can’t imagine any of us having any say in their approval process.
Street Fighter and Tekken fans rejoice! Every preordered copy of the the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken will come with Iron Curtain DLC. Iron curtain pack includes 9 gems primarily focused on increasing your fighters’ defense abilities. Additionally, the suggested retail price is at S$64.90, lower than most games
What really caught our attention though was the special edition of Street Fighter X Tekken. Instead of featuring in game characters, the bobble head figurines are modeled after the producers. And for some reasons, they look like they were designed off Nintendo’s Mii creator. Odd stuff.
There are 2 more bundles, one with the joypad and the other with the full Sanwa arcade stick. However, speaking from a retailer’s perspective, the arcade stick bundle seems a tad over priced
Or maybe the plain vanilla version of the game is just priced too low

In recent days, our support centre has been flooded with queries on the availability of Final Fantasy postcards. The postcards were announced by Sony via a press releaseone day before the launch of the game. Which marketing department announce preorder bonus 1 day ahead of launch anyway?!?!?

Like every new console, PS Vita has its fair share of hardware issues. The good news though, is most are not fatal. If your PS Vita is unable to power on or unable to detect SIM card, you probably tried to change your SIM card while the PS Vita is powered. Please only change your SIM cards after you fully shutdown your PS Vita, or until Sony patches the bug.
The Sony PS Vita (Wifi model) will be launching in Singapore on 22 Feb 2012 with a suggested retail price of S$399. The set does not come with games or any accessory.
The 3G model has yet to be announced as they are “still in discussion with the carriers”. IDA does not allow phone companies to carrier lock their phones, so we suspect there will be data bundle options in the near future. Otherwise we really can’t imagine what is worth discussing :/
There will be 27 English games launching with the PS Vita. The trailers are all below~~ For the best prices, do preorder PS Vita console and games early. We offer 7 day price protection and guarantee you the best prices in Singapore or Malaysia for all our preorders.
When you thought that sharing limits were cut from 5 to 2 was bad. It now gets even worse.
With only one registered account tied to a console each time, this means that users will not be able to access multiple region PSN stores at the same time. It also means that the initial PSN store selection is all the more important. No prizes for guessing that the US PSN would be the most popular in terms of speed of updates and content. And of course, language. Singapore defaults under the Asian PSN store, specifically Hong Kong.
How does one unlink a PSN account then? You would have to format the Playstation Vita.
