Please ensure your Wii has Gamecube controller ports. Open the flap at the top of your wii to find it. The newest black Wii (from about Christmas 2011) bundled with New Super Mario Bros do not have Gamecube controller ports, neither do they have the flaps.

With over 11 years of history, Dance Dance Revolution Wii jumps back bigger and better than ever, bringing fitness, free movement and fun to a whole new level for all DanceDanceRevolution fans. The game features a new Choreograph Style mode which lets players get their whole bodies moving to the beat thanks to integration with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk accessory in addition to the DDR mat controller. And thanks to new modes of multiplayer which take advantage of the new control systems, gamers can dance with each other without a complex dual-mat set-up if not available. Gamers can even put their Wii Balance Board to work for fit and funky workouts to the DDR tracks.
