Mortal Kombat Unchained

Midway has just revealed new information on Mortal Kombat: Unchained, the first entry in the Mortal Kombat series to hit the PSP. Unchained builds upon the formula set by Mortal Kombat: Deception, which shipped for consoles back in 2004.

Players can expect multiple fatalities per character, multi-tiered interactive backgrounds and six new fighters. The game will offer playable versions Kitana, Jax, Frost, Blaze, Goro and Shao Kahn.

In addition, fans of Konquest mode will definitely appreciate the fact that it made the jump from console to handheld. Here, players embark on a single-player mission with heightened character control, computer-controlled characters and hidden extras. It added an extra layer of depth to Deception, so it's good to know that Midway decided to include it.
